Bittensor & Subnet 112
What Bittensor is, what Subnet 112 does, how to become a miner or validator.
How Minotaur fits into the Bittensor network — the subnet, the incentive mechanism, and how to participate.

What is Bittensor?
Bittensor is a decentralized machine-learning network that incentivizes AI and computational services. It consists of multiple “subnets” that each serve different purposes. Subnet 112 is dedicated to intent execution and DEX aggregation.
What is Subnet 112?
Subnet 112 is the Minotaur subnet on Bittensor. It’s a specialized network where:
- Miners compete to find the best execution plans for intents
- Validators verify the quality of their solutions
- Miners earn TAO rewards based on their performance
Can I become a miner or validator?
Yes!
↳ ROLE · 01 Miner Write Solving Engine code. Requires algorithm development skills and understanding of DeFi execution. ↳ ROLE · 02 Validator Run the champion engine. Requires TAO stake on Subnet 112 + infrastructure to run Anvil forks for simulation.
Tip
Both roles require some prior Bittensor experience — start with Bittensor’s official docs if you’re new to the network.
